Hi! Sorry, I had to leave home to run herrands.

The pc did NOT but with this setting at 3800 mzk :-(

    Vccio voltage to 1.15v

Cpu system agent voltage to 1.25v

    dram voltage to 1.45 v

I am not sure where are in the bios the timings from tRDWR_SG, tRDWR_DG, tRDWR_DR and tRDWR_DD (see attached pictures)

I have downloaded mem tweakit. I just installed it but it seems none of the option are available for me to change
. Is this an old software for old motherboards and that is why it is not working?

    hm!

DRAM Voltage to 1.45V for test, will it help?

    Vccio voltage to 1.15v

Cpu system agent voltage to 1.25v

    dram voltage to 1.45 v

and can you please check the timings from tRDWR_SG, tRDWR_DG, tRDWR_DR and tRDWR_DD
if they are lower than your tCL can you set them to 19, 19, 19, 20 ?
    - i can remember a posting about Asus problem and that helped to set them not faster than tCL ( but here we need a pro, i can`t explain that )

The pc does NOT boot with ram at 3700 mhz with this setting

    Vccio voltage to 1.20v

Cpu system agent voltage to 1.30v

    dram voltage to 1.4 v

The pc boots also with ram at 3600 mhz with this setting :

    Vccio voltage to 1.15v

Cpu system agent voltage to 1.25v

    dram voltage to 1.4 v

testing now with your new suggests settings.

ok,1.4v dram voltage is good for beginning

can you boot with vccio 1.20V and vccsa 1.25V @ 3600MHz too?

please check how far you can go, and if it will help to rais vccsa to 1.30v

I was able to get up to 3200mhz setting :

    Vccio voltage to 1.25v

Cpu system agent voltage to 1.25v

now I try to change dram voltage to 1.4 v and set 3600 mhz

can you please check with 3600MHz first, and set DRAM Voltage manual to 1.40V

Ok . Thanks . I will start doing it this afternoon . I will write you later.

What setting in the bios do you want me to use to have the i9 run not overclocked ?

As error, I get a blue screen, if I go over 4.9 ghz , during benchmark

    1) yes, because you should test CPU OC stability without RAM OC and RAM OC stability without CPU OC - the caused errors of unstable CPU or RAM OC are much the same (suddenly closing programs, bluescreens, random exceptions, freezes...)

( for CPU OC i (personally) would never use adatpive mode for VCore )

    2) if you reduce VCCIO and VCCSA how do you know that your CPU can`t be overclocked to 4.9GHz ? PC isn`t booting anymore?
raising VCCIO and VCCSA shouldn`t make CPU overclocking better or worse, your cpu should run with manual 1.25V - 1.30V VCore @ LLC 6 and stock 0.95V VCCIO 1.05V VCCSA @ 4.9+GHz allcore and DDR4@2666MHz [and if you OC the Uncore you should test it too, best way is running multiple memtest, for beginning let it @ stock clock]

so please lets do RAM OC without CPU OC or let`s test first how far you can go with the i9 9900k with manual vcore and LLC 6

"Does overclocking this ram I have need to keep the cpu not overclocked ?" jesus, no you should and you will have both overclocked, especially the 8 core 16 thread 9900k will benefit from higher memory bandwith

"Do the other modules you and asus advice would need the same adjustments as above ?" you should always do adjustments for best performance, if it is needed or if it will run with all @ auto and XMP enabled i can`t say but if you have >= 1.35V VCCIO / VCCSA it is a little bit dangerous

    Ok. Thanks. I have questions

    1) do you want me to remove the overclock that I have right now for the cpu? Right now I have 8 cores at 4.9 ghz.

    2) if I turn down the voltage to the max recommended from 1.25V VCCIO and 1.30V VCCSA or from1.20V and 1.25V , I might not be able to overclock the cpu to 4.9 ghz

Does overclocking this ram I have need to keep the cpu not overclocked ?

Do the other modules you and asus advice would need the same adjustments as above ?

The end goal is that I would like to keep my cpu overclocked and the ram running the best they could
