I'm getting a little paranoid about memory as expensive as it's getting to be. I want to be sure and not make a mistake. I'd like some advice and and/or reassurance that the memory I'm preparing to purchase will actual work in the mobo/cpu I'm getting.
mobo: Gigatbyte Z390 Gaming X
cpu: Intel Core i7-8700K 3.7ghz
The memories I'm looking at are the F4-3200C16Q-64GVK or the F4-3200C16D-32GVK.
1a. Will this memory kits work with my mobo/cpu combination and can I get up to the 3200mhz?
1b. If not, any suggestions?
Now the way I understand it, these are exactly the same except one is a kit of 4 sticks (64G total) and the other a kit of 2 sticks (32G total).
2. Is this correct?
Also, again, my understanding is, it's better to buy the 4 stick kit than to buy 2, 2 stick kits, because the sticks in a kit are tested together and may or may not necessarily work together across kits.
3. Is this correct?
Thanx in advance for any help. It's greatly appreciated.
