Sticky compatibility

Hello,
Building a new desktop.. I've got msi x99s sli plus mobo. Wanted to know whether the following ram is compatible with the mentioned mobo

G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM
DDR4 2400 (PC4-19200) Desktop Memory Model F4-2400C15Q-32GRK

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be compatible. It was made specifically for X99 and the memory frequency is only one step above DDR4s default speed. Also updating the BIOS can sometimes improve memory compatibility, so keep that in mind just in case.

OK thanks.. Previously I got ddr3 version which I latter came to know that my mobo was not down compatible. How do you do an update to the BIOS to increase performance

I didn't say anything about performance but compatibility. For the MSI X99S SLI PLUS "Improved memory compatibility" was mentioned a lot in the BIOS changelogs.
