  • F3-14900CL9Q-16GBXL + Intel DZ68BC Extreme Series

Today i got the Intel DZ68BC,
but i have big problems to run my G.Skill F3-14900CL9Q-16GBXL (16GB@1866CL9) memory.

    The thing is:

on my Intel DP67BG & MSI Z68MA-ED55 i use this 16GB kit without any problems!
I go into the Bios - choose XMP - and all works perfect (timings/voltage).

    All is Prime95 stable.

Now with the new DZ68BC - XMP will load very stupid settings that really doesn't work!
I cant boot the pc so i have to use the fail-bios button on the back of the mainboard.

The Intel Board boot with "automatic" (in Bios) with these settings:

It seems to be working, but its far away from what i want!

    This is the XMP profile:

This is the setting in the bios with loading the X.M.P profile:

When i use manuall settings @1866 - the mainboard recognize only 8GB - and not 16GB.

    Whats the problem?

Thank you very much for your help!

You need manual settings, the motherboard is not detecting XMP correctly at all.

This is why you should get one of the motherboards on our QVL.

What CPU are you using? What OC is set? To be honest it's looking like a bad mobo, Intel is the designer of XMP, if it's going to work anywhere, it should be on their mobos, unless the CPU just can't drive 1866.

              It's a 2500K @ default speed - non oc!

It's the 2500K that runs with the F3-14900CL9Q-16GBXL and Intel DP67BG or MSI Z68MA-ED55

I have the following kit too:

              G.Skill Sniper DIMM Kit 8GB PC3U-12800U CL9-9-9-24 @1,25V (DDR3U-1600) (F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR2)

The Intel DZ68BC loading the xmp perfectly:

Not sure what to tell you, sounding like bad mobo or bad BIOS, have you contacted Intel?

I wrote in the Intel Forum,

                  http://communities.intel.com/message/146155#146155

btw: ich tried to bulid in only 2x4GB, the xmp loads the right config.

                  But the Mobo cant boot.

The pc starts, then it makes a click noise and the PC reboots.
                  And again and again...
