I want to put g.skill 1600 ram with this cpu/mobo combo but I'm not sure which I can use. I've looked at the qualified vendors list and it shows only 3 1600 g.skill options...2 of which aren't sold on newegg anymore. I want to go with an 8 gig (2x4gig) or 16 gig (4x4gig) set up. Am I able to use any 1600 kit that has the timing of 8-8-8-24? Any suggestions of which RAM I can use would be greatly appreciated. I understand this board is a bit outdated but it's what I have to work with for now .

I'd look to any of the Ripjaws lines or the Snipers (1.5 volt flavor - haven't tried any of the 1.25 volt Snipers on AMD)

Awesome thank you so much. I thought I could do that but wanted to make sure it would work before spending the money. Should I focus on the timing of 8 8 8 24 or only focus on the voltage?

Both, as you push the memory to perform better than what's rated, you always need more voltage, so you need to test and see what's best.
