  • whats the difference between GBNQ and GBRM ?

    hello

I own some G-Skill F3-12800CL8-4GBRM and want to know if they will work in an Asus M4A88T-M AM3 board with Phenom II X4 965 black edition.

The QVL from Asus lists G-Skill F3-12800CL8-4GBNQ but not my RAM.

    Does this tell me anything?

Modern Asus AM3 boards have fully adjustable timings and voltages. If I know that my RAM will work at 8-8-8-24 and 1.6 volts and the Motherboard allows me to set these values, can I assume they will work?

One more question: Does anyone know of a link that explains what exactly GBNQ and GBRM mean?

    thanks in advance,
    Dixon

No problem, you just may need to raise CPU-NB Voltage +0.1V to fully support DDR3-1600.

    GB is gigabytes.

NQ and RM are the different series of memory. RM being better than NQ..

    Thank you
