    Memory:F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD 3x2gb DDR3 2000mhz
    Mobo ASUS P6X58D-E BIOS 0108
    CPU i7 930
    Gigabyte GTX460

I cannot get my ram to run at 2000mhz. I under stand you need to overclock the CPU some but I havent found anyone with the same setup. I am on air still so id like to OC the CPU as little as possible to attain the 2000mhz for the ram. Could someone help me out?

    Thanks in advance,

So I updated the bios and ran the XMP setting again, with the new 0308 bios the XMP setting put the QPI at 1.4v...Its now running fine at 2000mhz BUT, under CPU Z it says my CPU is at 1900mhz? and 12x multiplier...?? is that a bug with CPUz?

Maybe, what is it set to in BIOS? Also, if you have speed step enabled, the idle and load frequency will be different. So open a program and then watch CPUz to see if the frequency jumps higher when you place load on it. This helps save power. You can disable it, but the computer will be at full idle power all the time. It will show the full frequency at all times.

      Thank you
