When and Will the G.Skill Turbulence II fan be sold as a standalone product. Just curious because I would kill to get my hands on one for my current RAM set!
CPU I7-980X @ 3.81Ghz
MB ASUS P6X58D-E
GPU GTX480 @ 770Mhz
RAM 12Gb Patriot Viper Xtreme Division-2 DDR3 @ 1908Mhz
PSU Corsair AX 850W
SSD: Intel X25M 80Gb
HD 2x WD VelociRaptors 150Gb in Raid-0
That fan looks really cheap. The single 60mm fan is far nicer to look at. There is also a two 60mm fans it looks the same as the single fan but its red and grey.....if i remember right. Sorry but that looks like something that would be included for free.
Actually it doesn't if you have a motherboard that only has clips/locks on one side. I personally still like the old Turb I design, simple, clips on to basically anything firmly.
Hmmm thanks for the heads up, from the looks of things thought it might hold better have a larger bottom base. Anyways might just go ahead and get the Turbulence I Fan instead.

you will be very happy with the single fan version, have you seen a pic of it? Mounting is as easy as breathing. A 60mm fan will cover two sticks very easy and cool the farther out ram well too, the cooler with two fans only covers the bottoms and tops of the ram more, it really does not increase the width all that much. You cant go wrong with the price ether, ive seen them for as low as 9$. I paid 12$ and i would pay it again
Its a very good product, thats hard to say about alot of things like this but this really is a stupid, simple product that does what it should and no fuss no muss.
I received the fan as part of my kit (F3-12800CL7T-12GBTDD) and the fans are very loose. The screws are all loose (one was rolling around free in the box). What kind of screw heads are those? I want to tighten it down and use the fan, but not in it's current condition.
