  • F3-19200CL10Q2-64GBZHD = End of Life ?

    Hello!

This memory is not on the QVL list for the
Asus Rampage Extreme IV and Black Edition Mainboard (but it was before).

Now on the QVL list are only two Mainboards:

    ASUS
    X79
    X79 DELUXE (x8 DIMM)

    MSI
    X79
    X79A-GD45 Plus (x8 DIMM)

Does that mean you have removed both MB (REIV&Black Edition) from the compatiblity list?

Or did you removed them because the memory is end of life?

When i use the memory config tool, this memory is NOT listed anymore (but it was listed before!).

    Can you explain what happend?

I already owned the F3-19200CL10Q2-64GBZHD Memory before
but i cant get the mem stable with my Asus REIV and the 3960X CPU.

Now i own a 4960X and maybe the memory will run @ full DDR3-2400 CL10.

Maybe i would like to buy this memory again but it must run stable @REIV and the Black Edition...

    Another Question:

the height is 40 mm is that only the headspreader or the full height of the memory with golden contacts?

It should fit with my Noctua NH-D14 cpu cooler.

REIV and Black Edition has some issues with 64GB DDR3-2400. Set it to DDR3-2133 and it will be perfect.

The total memory height is 40mm, so once it sinks into the memory slot, it only needs about 38mm. The Noctua cooler will fit just fine.

    Thank you

Can you go into detail why is that?

ASUS itself stated they burned through quite some PCB / trace configurations and also improved power components for the dimm slots to enhance the R4BE's memory capabilities. It would be kinda silly, if that board still couldn't run 8x8GB DDR3-2400+ despite all that effort (while some cheaper and probably less tuned towards overclocking models can).

It should be an issue with BIOS, hopefully a revision is released shortly to solve it.
