snocones is getting a feel for overclocking
Default F3-17000CL on Z75

I purchased an 8 GB set of F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL ram and installed it on my ASRock Z75 Pro3. I'm able to boot with the sticks on stock speeds, but when I try to enable XMP 1.3 I can no longer boot. I've tried manually setting the timings and voltage (11-11-11-30 1.5~1.7V) and adjusting DRAM Frequency to 2133, but it still doesn't boot. I've tried this both with my CPU on stock speeds and overclocked.

Oddly enough though, if I turn on XMP 1.3 and set the DRAM Frequency to 2000 it works just fine, but it sets the DRAM voltage to 1.615 V. CPU-Z even shows the speeds clocked up to 1000 MHz. I'm just hoping to get that last bit of umph out of the sticks if possible, but I'm a noob to overclocking memory so I could use some help.

Specs:
Motherboard: ASRock Z75 Pro3 with newest 1.50 BIOS (Tried initial 1.40 as well)
Memory: F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL (Only one kit installed, no others)
CPU: Intel i5 3450 (3.1 GHz) Ivy Bridge (Tried on stock 3.1 GHz and OC to 3.9 GHz)

Thanks for any help!

With the locked 3450 can try it with a OC of the CPU and shoot for maybe 2133 and will prob need a VCCSA of 1.14 and about same on the CPUVTT Voltgae

Ah, I tried to get 2133 working with the VCCSA and VTT you suggested, but it didn't work. I am guessing it's just a limitation of my CPU, which is fine. I can settle for 2000 instead of 2133, close enough. Thanks.

Sorry not more we could do, you fall into a major gripe of mine in that mobo advertisers don't let anyone know what type CPU you need to run the Max DRAM they advertise, might see my info thread on this Here:
