    Tried this config..

Blue screened. Is there a difference between the M4A78T-E, and the M4A78-E, as far as bios config? I could tell there were settings called for that don't exist in my bios.

    Thanks,

    Model of the motherboard: M4A78-E
    Model of the memory: F2-8500CL5D-4GBTD
    Model of the CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 945 Deneb 3.0GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Processor

Just updated Bios from 1213 to 1302.

AI Overclock Tuner - Manual Good
    DRAM Frequency - 1066 Don't have 1066.. have 1067
DRAM Voltage - 2.0V Turns Yellow
    HT Voltage - 1.4V Red
    NB Voltage - 1.2V (1.4V for 4 sticks, 8GB) 1.3 Minimum

DRAM Controller Configuration (submenu) Called Memory Config
DCT Unganged Mode - Enabled Good
Power Down Enabled - Disabled Good

    DRAM Timing/Driving Config. (submenu)
    DRAM Command Rate - 2 2T

What about DRAM Timing? DCT0, DCT1, or Both? (I'm really new at this)

    Default settings -
    DCT0 1st - 5-5-5-3(5)-15-24-6-3
    DCT0 2nd - 7-127.5-75
Same for DCT1 1st and 2nd, if I selected Both for DRAM Timing

The BIOS are slightly different, but settings will work the same. 1067 is fine, it is simply how the motherboard reads it. Yellow is fine, it is simply a warning. Red is fine as well, it is simply letting you know you are in the HIGH zone. You can lower it to 1.3V if it is stable, but for troubleshooting purposes we are trying what has been tested. 1.3V NB Voltage is odd, but that's fine if that's where it wants to be.

2T is the same as 2. DRAM Timing should be Both. As far as timings, they look fine, the DCT0 2nd is slightly tight, but if you have a good memory/motherboard combination, you may be able to operate at those timings. How is the system running with those settings?

      Thank you

Thanks for the response. My system runs well with the default settings, which are different from above. I've attempted several times to change the settings and timing, and get the blue screen upon logging in. I'm going to try setting everything except for timing and see how that works.

When you say default, do you mean default at 800? or 1066? Timing may be your main problem. The normal timings should look like this:

          DCT0 1st - 5-5-5-3(5)-15-24-8-3
          DCT0 2nd - 7-195-127.5

Let me know how that goes.

          Thank you

            DDR2 Memory - Intel e8400 P35 GSK F2-8000CL5D-4GB

I have recently been trying to OC my (previously stock) PC. I was disappointed that I could not get the memory to run faster that 866 MHz before I started seeing memory errors on memtest86 4.0 That corresponded to the e8400 running at 3250 MHz (361x9). When I purchased this ram I thought it was listed as capable of 1066MHz operation. I have increased the CPU to 1.125v and the memory to 2.0v. Vtt of FSB increased to 1.175v, NB to 1.35, SB to 1.7v, SBcore 1.35v. I have seen articles with the e8400 on this MB easily running much faster than 3250 MHz. No problem with CPU temps 45 C.

I have MSI-P35 Neo2 motherboard which should be capable of higher OC as well.
I saw your response with this memory on AMD Phenom II but understand that Intel can be significantly different.

            Thanks (in advance)
