  • HOW TO OVERCLOCK RIPJAWS 2400 mhz

    Hi Guys,

    Greetings !

    I have a 3970X in Asus P9X79 Deluxe with 64 GB G.Skill RipJaws (model F3-19200CL10Q-64GBZHD / 10-12-12-31 / 1.65v‏) and I want to overclock these memories.

So, how I can do this ?

Just apply a little voltage to them ? Like 1.67v ?

Doing this is sufficient in order to enhance the latencies and raise the frequencie like 2600 Mhz ?

Can anyone help me with this issue ?

    Thanks in advance !

You can consider yourself lucky to get eight modules running at DDR3-2400, esp with a Sandy Bridge-E processor (it should be F3-19200CL10Q2-64GBZHD, so eight modules unless i am mistaken). You can try higher at relaxed timings and increased voltage, but in most cases DDR3-2400 is already the upper limit for a SB-E IMC.

      Dear Emissary42,

      Yes ... I have 8x8 modules F3-19200C10-8GBZHD (F3-19200CL10Q-64GBZHD).

      Thanks for your considerations.
