    Looking for some help with the BIOS settings for this combination. I bought the ripjawsz kit after doing some reading on whether this quad channel stick would work in my dual channel board. It seemed to be confirmed that it would.

    So I fitted it yesterday and after about 20 minutes I had my first of many BSODs.
    Initially I thought it was a driver issue because when I refitted my USB cables and powered the box back on I got 4 driver upgrade messages including one for the intellimouse.

    However after a few changes I decided to try a fresh build using a spare Samsung F3 I had. First time it hung trying to copy the files from the install CD, second time it blue screened just after it formatted the disk. So i put the old memory back and hey stability. My PC has the following set-up:

    i7 860 (1156)
    Gigabyte P55M-UD4 (BIOS Rev 11)
    ATi Radeon HD 4870 (1GB)
    Corsair TX 650W

    I've read a few things here and the opinion seems to be I need to up the voltage.
    Do I need to do anything else?

    Any help appreciated.

    Might check first that you have the latest BIOS, then since you have a single set go into the BIOS, ensure the timings are set correctly (with CR (Command Rate) at 2T and give that a try

    Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

      Cheers for ther reply tradesman.

      Yes Rev 11 is the latest BIOS.
      Not sure what you mean by single set. it's 4 x 4gb sticks.
      Command rate was 2T, I'm going to try again and see if I can get a cpu-z text file dump.

          So it blue screened about 30 seconds after this past with an IRQL_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL

          I amended the RAM settings slightly:
          X.M.P -> Profile
          Voltage from AUTO to 1.6v

          Again blue screen but this time with a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.

              So I changed to XMP (Profile1)
              Manually set all settings to 9-9-9-24
              Amended the QPI/VTT to 1.3v
              Upped the voltage to 1.6v

                Hopefully still up when you read this, if so, monitor and use it some and may need slight adjustments on voltages from here, at maybe + .01 at a time if needed.

                      Might raise DRAM voltage + .02

                        Less BSOD but more application crashes.

                        Current settings:
                        X.M.P -> Profile1
                        DRAM Timing -> Expert
                        Manual clock timings for channel A/B -> 9-9-9-24
                        QPI/VTT -> 1.210v
                        DRAM -> 1.620v (all settings above that are pink)

                            Have you tried one module at a time just in case one module is not as good?

                            Thank you
