  • Trident Z RGB Compatibility with GB AB350N Mini itx motherboard?

    Hi,

I have 16 GB of G Skill Trident Z RGB 3200 Mhz RAM running on a Gigabyte AB350N Mini-itx motherboard and am unable to modify the speed.

I've tried BIOS F1, F2 and F3 with no luck booting at 3200 Mhz. My only options are 3200 Mhz or 2133 Mhz on the motherboard at this time. Other options where it looks like I'd be able to change the speed seem to be grayed out.

Is it worth hanging onto this RAM and waiting for an update? It sure does look good, just wish I could run it higher than 2133 Mhz...

It seems my only options in the BIOS are to enable XMP and run it at 3200 Mhz which doesn't boot properly (loops and loops), or revert back to 2133 Mhz.

Is it likely that there will be a future compatibility update on Gigabyte's end that may solve this?

Also, if anyone has particular timing suggestions or specific tweaks, let me know!

    Thanks for your time.

Those may be questions for Gigabyte, we don't know what they plan or do not plan to do, we can only follow what is currently available.

Do you have the latest BIOS for the motherboard?

Try a lower frequency like 2933 or 2800 to see if it can work
