  • F4-3200C16-8gtzr- on QVL for CHVI hero

    Hi

I bought this ram as it was the only one on the QVL list that would support 4 dimms @3200Mhz
32GB, I cannot seem to get the memory to run at 3200 now these dimms are SC Hynix not the samsung Bdie.that info was not on the Asus QVL

    Are any timings im missing>?

ive tried 16-18-18-18-38-54-1t > 1.35v single beep no boot

the highest I can get is 2933Mhz 16-16-16-16-38-54-1t anything above it wont post

    Any suggestion appreciated.

Did you increase CPU Host Frequency? CPU needs to be OC for 2933+

Do you have the latest BIOS?

Check the ASUS CHVI OC Guide for details

      Hi thatks for the reply,

Im running the latest bios 1501 and the cpu is OC to 3.9 @1.35v blck 100mhz multi x39
All of the OC profiles in the Asus BIOS are for samsung bdie, mine are Hynix,

Do you have a full set of timings for my ram so I can check the very long list of timing adjustments in the Asus BIOS?

      Kind Regards

You don't need to, input the basic values and the motherboard can detect the rest

You might have more luck with a command rate of 2T at DDR4-3066 and DDR4-3200, esp. with four modules.

Then raise Vdimm a bit and see if it improves stability.

Just updated BIOS on my CHVI Hero to 1701 and now I get @3066Mhz 16-16-16-16-38-54 2T @1.375

but it still will not boot @ 3200 16-18-18-18-38-56 @1.4v (dont want to go higher really unless its safe to do so)
