Thanks as ive been having the same problem. Running as Admin worked

Sorry to butt in but i get "firmware for this drive is not in this package" error when "downloading firmware to selected drive". Ive tried both in the packet but with the same results.

          I have a Fm-25s2s-120gbp1 Phoenix ssd

Firmware Rev 2.1 still has SMART compatible issue with some motherboards.
We has reported this issue to SandForce, they might solve it in next version of firmware.
If you encounter this issue, please post model of your motherbord with brand and version of its BIOS.
Those information could helpfully solve this issue.

                      Thanks Ranxerox,
Is your BIOS AMI or Award?
I found some motherboards with award BIOS get the same SMART failed message.

                          Answer of Gigabyte

                          Gigabyte told me this

So far the mainboard does not fully support SSD hard drive. Please contact hard drive vender for further confirmation.

                          Regards,
                          GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY
                          My best regards vaca

Same BIOS message here (SMART command failed).

                            Gigabyte GA-H55M-U2DH BIOS version: F8
                            FM-25S2S-60GBP2.

Oddly, disabling SMART in the BIOS had no effect. The message was still displayed.

Also, SMART reports 800 bad sectors.
Are these really bad sectors or are they merely being misreported by SMART?

I infer that SMART incompatible issue would make incorrect value of SMART attibute.
But i will ask sandforce this situation for an official explaination.
