  • F3-10666CL9-2GBNQ + Intel DG43RK + Intel E3120 Xeon Dual

    Hello G.Skill,

I'm writing to ask for advice regarding F3-10666CL9-2GBNQ (2 sticks) memory running on an Intel DG43RK motherboard, with most recent BIOS, and Xeon E3120 dual core 3.167Ghz CPU.

When booting with SPD option on, my system defaults to 533MHz (1066). The motherboard should support 667MHz (1333) but it fails to boot when I manually set memory at 667 (1333). I tried reducing all of the available BIOS memory timing options to the most conservative values, hoping this would at least enable a boot -- but no.

    CPU-Z reports
    (1) memory running at 533MHz, CL:8, tRCD:8, tRP:8, tRAS:20, tRFC:60, tRC:27
    (2) memory capable of 667MHz, CL:9, tRCD:9, tRP:9, tRAS:24, tRFC:74, tRC:33

    BIOS options
tCL, tRCD, tRP, tRASmin, tWR, tRFC, tWTR, tRRD, tRTP, and voltage.
    Seems like
    9,9,9,24,10,74,5,4,5
should work at 1333 but it does not. Even with 1.6V No beeps, no action except for power supply fan activating when I try to power up.

Any experience or suggestions? Guidance on smart troubleshooting would be appreciated. Thanks.
