                  FX-8120, Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5, F3-14900CL9Q-32GBZL

                  The build...

                  The benchmarks and validation pictures...

Fastest stable settings so far... I don't really think the CPU will like going any higher without a large scale cooling upgrade and I don't really want to push my luck there just yet, lol. I ran a 24 hour stress test on the CPU and hit a peak temperature of 61 Celsius, so I think I'll dial it back to 3.6 or 3.8 GHz and see what that will give me.

Along this line of thinking though... I've been considering an upgrading my case, CPU cooler, and especially the video card. I know the 990FX chipsets don't support the full potential of PCIe 3.0, but I really want the upgrade if for nothing else than the fact that a larger case (I'm thinking sticking with AZZA and going to the Genesis 9000), at least a 240mm CPU cooler, and a more up to date GPU with at least 2GB will help my system's overall ambient temps stay lower.

Any thoughts or advice on what to go towards and/or avoid will be greatly appreciated guys (and gals). Thanks!

                      2133 pushed to 2520?

I'd forgotten about this. No real stability though and I was trying to crank up some mem-intensive tasks. But... NB fine with 1.3V? Well gosh, I'll just have to try that again and crank it up a few notches! Wasn't getting what I was after though and the numbers seemed a ways off. Don't know about Maxxmem benches but I do trust Aida64's numbers.

At certain times I swear I can hear this deep Russian voice whispering in my ear..... "Don't be a *****..."

                            G Skill RipjawsX F3-17000CL11-4GBXL pushed to 2650.

Ah, so what if it held together for one benchmark. I quite agree, which explains this stable 2500Mhz config. Boo-rah!

In every old E.C. Horror comic you would see the following line at least once...

                            "Good lord! *Choke!*"
