Default F3-14900cl9d-8gbsr

G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR

Running these at 10-11-10-28 2T
vDIMM 1.6V
vNB +.1v
vCore +.1v

Do I need to change any other memory timings for stability or speed increase?
Can these go at 1T?
Do I need to change the NB frequency from 1600 MHz?

Any other recommendations for settings and voltage would be appreciated.

Thanks

Gigabyte FM2/A85X
AMD A6-6600K 3.9@4.4 GHz
Geforce 750 Ti

Those timings are for 2133, what frequency are you attempting?

8GB should be capable of 1T

NB Frequency is fine on default, or you can raise one level for a little more performance.

Default 1T

Yes, I was trying 2133, but I recently got freezes - where did I go wrong?

Have you tried a higher vNB?

Default vNB

To OC to 2133:

How much more voltage than .1 do I need on the NB?
Do I also have to increase vCore to OC mem?
Do I need to relax the timings more from 10-11-10-28?
Do I need more than 1.65v vDimm?

I had NB +.1, vDimm 1.65v, 10-11-10-28 2T and I got a crash after a few days.

Thanks

That varies from one processor to another (the memory controller is part of the CPU).

I'd start with +50mV and then move up in small steps. You probably don't need more than +100mV.

In general you don't have to, unless you CPU is heavily overclocked. Then a large increase in memory frequency might result in having to add a little bit of Vcore.

Since your kit was not tested at that DDR3-2133, start at 11-11-11-28 and if that is stable you can try to tighten the timings up a bit.

Depends of the memory ICs, their quality and scaling.

Red face timings

I will try 11-11-11-28.... would 10-11-10-30 be better? worth a try...

Tighter is faster. But i would recommend getting to a stable starting point first and then try to quench the last bits of performance out of the higher frequency afterwards.
