Does anyone have suggestions for backing up a 120GB Phoenix Pro SSD? I'm using Win 7, 64bit home premium. Previously, with HDDs, I used Acronis True Image Home 2009 and created a clone that was easy to swap & boot from if needed.
I used the same technique with a new build that had the SSD as the primary drive. This worked OK for about 6 months. The most recent time I cloned the SSD to a HDD, the system froze. When I rebooted the SSD was no longer recognized. Win 7 repair indicated the partition was damaged - no luck in repairing - I replaced the SSD this week.
Does Win 7 backup & restore for files and a drive C image work (backup & image on a different drive)? Any suggestions for other programs?
I'd like to be able to recover from a failed drive C with the OS & programs - install a new drive C, boot from the Win 7 rescue disk and restore the saved image.
Thanks all.
Doug
