  • Falcon 128GB Raid drives... slowing down...

I've had these for a couple of years in RAID0, initially very fast but they seemed to have slowed down over time. Benchmarks kind of confirm it

I tried numerous programs to attempt to do a clean wipe but was never successful. They would see the drive but give error messages (PartedMagic, HDDErase33, and HDDErase40) maybe others.

Also they are running the 2030 firmware, any suggestions would be appreciated. It doesn't seem like a controller issue because the single OCZ and 2x1TB's seem fine.

    Here they are now...

Here are a couple of 1TB's in RAID0 also on the same controller (with write-back cache enabled).

And a single 60GB OCZ Agility

    hi jbuschdev,
how many GB lefe now(SSD usage)? not enough space or too many program running will slow down the speed, however, you can use 1916 firmware(with clean funtion) to clean you SSD and reinstall firmware 1916, and upgrade the 2030 back. it will help a lots with the performance.
ps. don't forget back up your data!

While that wasn't the simplest process it did end up working in the end, 400MB/s writes, 500MB/s reads...

      Thanks
