  • Ram for sabertooth 990fx r2.0

    Hi
in the future i wanna buy me a sabertooth 990fx r2.0 and the AMD FX 8350.
Now i search a fast ram for it. i want gskill^^
I look for 8 Gig Ram

i wanna spend around 60€ for it

Wich ram is good to juse with this board+cpu?

Maybe something that i can Overclock a bit. dont know how high^^ the CPU supports 1866Mhz. Maybe i can make a bit more.
i took a look on the F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR. Is there any better?

And how would it be if i go to 16 gig ram? wich one would you choose then?
At 16 gig i would go to 130€. but it must be 1866 and or higher and it must run with the board+cpu.

The Snipers are good choice, same for 16GB (go with a 2x8GB set, again, the Snipers are my preferred model for AMD), the AMD CPUs can run into problems with 4 sticks at 1866

öhm a other question. is there any problem, if i juse the 2+4 Ram-port instant of the 1+3? because in 2+4 i can juse any ram. There i have enough space!

            2-4 slots normally work fine

Just wanted to add that I've been running with 4x4GB Snipers @ 1866 for about 4 months now and have had zero problems. I even had them @ 2133 for a couple of weeks (stable) but backed off because I didn't want to reduce life expectancy. Apparently, from what I've read (and been told by an AMD rep over at Rage3D) the FX8350's don't suffer from having all 4 DIMM's populated. My specs are in my sig.

              Peace

Glad to hear all is well on your front if you want them to run @2133 it wont hurt them unless you were dumping like 1.7v at them to get there
