Check out CRC of SPD with Thaiphoon Burner software. I bet it is corrupted.

Thanks for the link, it was showing a CRC: Error in Thaiphoon Burner for both sticks. I tried writing the default SPD through Thiaphoon (had to purchase the full version) but still getting a CRC error on one module.

Edit: I was able to get it to work. After resolving both CRC errors it still would not recognize any modules, however after switching slots they 'woke up' and it seems to be working now.

        Before flashing SPD:

        1) Completely uninstall G.skill RGB Control software and ASUS Aura.
        2) Make sure you are not running any hardware diagnostic or sensor monitoring software (hwinfo, aida, cpuz, original software for your mainboard, etc) on the background to prevent the SMBus Controller from deadlocking and SPD data from corrupting.

Hi facehook, I have an NZXT Kraken X52 AIO for my CPU cooling and use the CAM software to monitor temps and manipulate color schemes on the cooler. Do you happen to know if CAM also uses the SMBus Controller?

For context, I have 64 gb of trident z in rainbow default functioning properly and want to avoid blowing up my system. I have held off on installing any G. Skill or Aura software until they iron out all of the bugs.

              Hi thedeceiver,
Your cooling device is monitored and configured via USB controller. So, don't worry.

Cough, cough.. Maybe they are re-coding it from the ground up to make it better?

It seems that way, and they just announced a new line of RGB TridentZ for AMD motherboards, without even fixing these or getting out of beta yet! HAHAHAHA

I'm currently using AURA and having the exact same issue with it that I had with G.Crap's software. After a re-boot it works fine for a bit, then my RGB is frozen and it stays that way until another re-boot.

I typically leave my PC on for weeks/months at a time, so it just sits there frozen.
