  • ASUS P9X79 WS + F3-19200CL10Q-32GBZHD + i7 3930k

    Hi there

As mentioned above, I'm currently equipped with an ASUS P9X79 WS, F3-19200CL10Q-32GBZHD, and an i7 3930k. Another component I have is the 512 SSD from Samsung. I went into BIOS and set my SSD up as a RAID configuration. While scrolling through, my friend pointed out that the RAM wasn't clocking at the correct speed. After some google-fu and not yielding what I wanted, I came to G.Skill's website and found this forum.

And unfortunately while I play games and have a decent understanding of rigs and all that, I don't have an understanding of RAM/Clock speed/Etc. Would love to learn about frequencies and also would love to clock the RAM at what it was suppose to be at if possible.

    Thank you!

Well you have the 2400 32GB set of Ripjaws Z, so to run them as best as possible will want to ensure you have the latest BIOS, enable XMP and then try selecting the 2400 profile - which may or may not work, if it does Great, if not then go back into the BIOS and check what the VCCSA voltage is, if it's not at 1.2 then set it there, also check the VTT voltage, it should also be 1.2, and the DRAM voltage should be 1.65. The base timings should show as 10-12-12-31. Try again, if you have a strong 3930K running at about 4 GHz or better this should work....if not may want to try running them at 2133 (simply change the DRAM speed from 2400 to 2133 manually. Not all 3930Ks can handle 2400 sticks.

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:
