Tradesman my friend, like NASA use to said "Houston We Have a problem". After successfully boot up with VCCSA@1.20 and VCCIO@1.20 as well, when I started Prime 95 the computer froze up on me. When I did a hard reset that went to bios to change back to 2400Mhz and leave everything @ 2400Mhz, that I boot back to Windows BSOD started to occure boot after boot, took my 2 Samsung R0 UEFI and replaced then with another array set that I had for spare and that's what I'm working as I writting this thread. I'm going to give up fornow guy I don't want to mess my rig, I had a bad experiance with the Bios before, I had to replaced it. Yhe reason way I proceed to do this was cause at the GSkill web site the only different that I saw in my memory Part # and the 2600 Part # was a "D" at the end same clock speed and I kind tought that I could get greaty and hit the jackpot but I didn't guy, Thanks anyway guy. U R the MAN anyway I don't care what anybody says.Case:Corsair, Obsidian 650D

Keep in touch, might want to keep an eye on your mobo site for BIOS updates (on anything)...very few BIOS updates mention DRAM but most all are packed with updates for DRAM at the various freqs/amounts and densities

New Info found and question
TRADESMAN, I been searching around the web and reading. I think one of the reason I can't my men kit any higher on speed is cause the kit is quad channel memory mainly for the X79 Platform and my is Z77 which use dual channel, correct me if I'm wrong but do U think this could be holding back from going any higher on clock speed?. If not could I tray in bios leave VCCSA and VCCIO in auto as it is right now and tray 1.70 DRAM Volt. Do U think this a safe option cause I seen in other forum leaving everything else @ auto, then increasing the DRM voltage to 1.7 or 1.75 with same timing and they have able to pull it off. Don't know I just want ur advice before do anything stupid.
See the reason I ask about the kit been dual or quad been any different with my board is because I also have a ARES kit of 2133 (F3-2133C9Q-16GAB) and I also can't get them pass to 2133, when I have seen other easy clock them to 2400 with 1.7 volt but on a X79 platform.
Also do U think I would be better off for me to got the F3-2400C10D-16GTX, instead of the F3-2400C10Q-16GTX to have better OC experience from the ones that I have now? TIA, TCase:Corsair, Obsidian 650D

The 4 sticks vs 2 could be hampering things in that 2 sticks is less stress on the MC than 4 sticks, so a 2x8GB might allow a little more room to go higher.... As far as sticks/sets being shown as QUAD or DUAL channel makes no real difference the Z77 chip set is strictly dual channel regardless if you have 2 sticks in or 4 (i.e. still runs in DUAL mode)...could try 1.7 and see what happens (that won't kill anything)

Tradesman, I need help in how to solve this puzzle guy. ok let see how to start explain my self, for this question guy. The F3-2400C10Q-16GTX part # is the kit that have trying to OC to at least 2600Mhz, in my P8Z77-V PR board right, ok. Now I see in Ur guys web site a promo of a 32gb kit taking all slots like my 16gb kit on a different board okey but the board which is the P8Z77-V Deluxe and even using a old bios 1617 ver which in the other hand my board use the same bios as the deluxe does, and even a newer ver 1805 and I can not get to Windows it post, but it freez at the windows orb. I think chips in my kit are different from the chips in this kit, probably this kit has samsung chips and my has Micron chips cause the only different between both is a letter D at the end.
My: F3-2400C10Q-16GTX
Promo: F3-2800C11Q-32GTXD
Sorry there is two things different the Timming and the letter at the end. I can explain the timming cause I have done releasing the timming in my rams to the same as the 2800 ram also have raise the SA and IO and event the Volt on Ram and nothing. And in this promo they are not event OCing the Deluxe. Can I trade my kit Tradesman? could you guys do that for me, and I pay the difference. TIA guy. I'll see what I can find about the 'D' on the end, my guess would be that it includes a fan. As far as trade in, etc I'm not GSkill and can't speak for them, would want to maybe PM GSkill Tech and reference this threadLast edited by Tradesman; 02-14-2013, 12:40 PM.
