    Hi there,

    I just installed this new system with the above and an i7 2600K.

    I am trying everything to get these stick to run at 1600 but nothing works.

    They only work if I set the bios to auto.

    When I select XPS, I get the DRAM light and I have to set it back to auto because it won't boot.

    In auto mode it runs at 1333.

    Can anyone please help me and give me the correct procedure / settings to get them to rund at 1600 on this mobo?

    Any help is apreciated

    I don't have any idea why, but according to Asus the mobo only supports 1600 and higher with a 3rd Gen Intel CPU (the likes of the Ivy Bridge CPUs, i.e. 3570, 3570K, 3770, etc), Your 2600K Sandy Bridge is considered 2nd Gen....so that may be the problem...see their spec page here:
