Asus Rampage III Formula and i7 950 D0

Hi all, I need some help with my settings.

    F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD rated 9-9-9-24 1.6v

I am perplexed by insert card that said Dram Read to PRE Time = 7 for ASUS mobo's

Is this correct for my R3F?
Sould it always be set at 7?
Bios is v.0505 (I wish there was an update and that the manual was more complete)

Have had system running at 3.85 overclock but would like to hit 4.0

    Used: 9-9-9-24-6-88-6-auto-auto 2N

What is safe voltage range for this kit?

    I've tried to keep cpu v low 1.2v and QPI/VTT 1.2v.
After reading many posts I find the highest cpu =1.30v and QPI =1.38v

I just seem to be at an impass.

    Thanks for the help.

Also, what is best setting for Load Line Calibration? Have read conflicting usage.

Everybody has the same exact issue, with DDR3-2000, you must find the precise QPI Voltage on your own to be perfectly stable. Each CPU requires a slightly different voltage, that's why we can't offer a voltage that will work for everybody.

This is why we only recommend DDR3-2000+ for experienced overclockers.

      jsfitz54,

Yes, that timing applies to you.

READ to PRE Time should be 7 at all times.

For DDR3-2000, 1.65V should be enough for DRAM Voltage.

QPI Voltage may need to be higher to stabilize DDR3-2000.

For LLC, enable this as the readings will be more accurate. This setting will regulate vDroop, some enable, some disable, you can see what works best for you. Also, check to see what the QPI LLC jumper is set to.

      Thank you
