  • Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 - F3-2133C10D-8GXM

    Good day,

The specs for my system are as follows:

Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 Motherboard with latest bios.
    AMD FX 8320E CPU
GSkill F3-2133C10D-8GXM (4x4gb) All four slots used 16gb total.
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Issues I've noticed. Bios reports running at 1600Mhz.
Windows System information reports 16gb installed 11.9gb usable.

What I'm am wondering with this setup is what would be my optimal bios settings for this ram setup. As i've never played with OC or changing default bios settings for memory.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

    Thank You
    Eyecu

Make sure each kit is installed in the same color slots. Test the RAM at DDR3-1333 8-8-8-24 1.50V

All 16GB should be detected, so if not, test each kit separately to see if they show up as 8GB.

Hi thank you for the response, all the ram is detected both by bios and windows. Windows was just reporting that 4.1 gigs was reserved for some reason. I've never faced that before. I turned on D.O.C.P in the bios AI Tweeker > AI Overclock Turner.

      Changed DRAM O.C. Profile to DDR3 2133Mhz

I didn't change any other settings yet, but i rebooted the system twice and both times it didn't show any reserved memory. The only thing now is do/should i change any other settings. I haven't keep the system on yet as i wasn't sure if i should change anything else.

No, if the system is stable then you should be good to go.
