  • GSkill TridentZ RGB F4-3600C16D-16GTZR

I have been playing around with my new TridentZ RGB F4-3600C16D-16GTZR,the stock timings are 16 16 16 36 1.35v and have got the timings down to 14 14 14 32 1T at 1.40 volts at 3652 mhz.All the other timings were left on Auto on my Asus Z270 Apex mb.Does anyone know what Secondary and Tertiary memory timings I can fiddle with to tighten up.I will later today see how far up the scale I can go from 3600 to see what these sticks are capable of..Any info appreciated...

I have the same kit but 32gb (TridentZ RGB F4-3600C16q-32GTZR) and I have reached
3866mhz 16-17-17 38 1.40v so far but no matter what I try I cannot get my kit to post
with a 1N command rate at ANY speed, do you have any suggestions for me?

Sorry I cannot help with secondary timings I am fairly new to ram overclocking

The best I got so far with my Asus Z270 Apex is 3789 mhz 16 16 16 37 1N at 1.40 volts.VCCIO volts at 1.26250 and System Agent Volts at 1.27500 volts. Also with Asus Maximus Tweak at mode 2.

My kit would never post XMP I had to use Mode 1 and 1.38v or I would get code 55
I have never had to go above 1.2125V VCCIO and 1.2375V SA BUT I will try upping those voltages to see if I can post with 1N(T) command rate.

Edit: Nope nothing seems to work, I even tried enable / disable mrc fast boot & mch full check to no avail

Are you using any software for the LEd's

For the LEd's I am using the Asus Aura software and it works fine.I am thinking that since your kit is 32 gb you probably need more volts.I have read on the Asus forum thats its safe to run the dram voltage as high as 1.50 volts for 24/7 usage. And with VCCIO voltage up to 1.30 volts and SA voltage up to 1.35 volts. Are you trying 3866mhz or 3789 like me.

Im stable at 3866mhz as I stated above. I just cannot get my DIMMs to post with a command rate 1.

Well actually I finally got it to post at 3200mhz 1N but 3333mhz with 1N coded 55 so Im just gonna have to wait for a better bios or just use 2N, Im goona try for 4000mhz now

From what I hace read with 32 gb kits she needs the juice,1.50 max is safe they say,I even think a gskill moderator here told me that, and higher VCCIO and sa volts might get ya 1N to run.

Here is a good site for ddr4 overclocking.Lots of good info here.It might help you fine tune things better..Official* Intel DDR4 24/7 Memory Stability Thread http://www.overclock.net/t/1569364/o...ability-thread

Try 3866 at 17-17-17-40-1T DRam Volts 1.40v up to 1.45v. SA Volts 1.18 up to 1.21v and IO volts from 1.15v up to 1.18 volts. These timings and voltages were from people with 32 gig kits that worked for them at 1N.One post even had 3866 running 32 gbs at 16-16-16-36-2N at 1.44 volts SA volts 1.18 and 1.18 IO volts. The best I got mine today was 3923 at 17 19 19 38 1N at 1.47.v 1.26250 IO and 1.27500 SA volts.Just got to experiment a bit to find what works....
