  • Led error or bug?

Hi, I recently bought the ripjaws mouse and found this problem:

When I switch the brightnes bar to 33% o the lowest bright preset the Gskill logo and wheel led starts to blinking. Tried in different PC and OS and the same problem.

This is a bug in the firmware of the mouse or i have a faulty unit?

    Thanks for the support.

Load defaults, save to device, then try again. What firmware and software version are you using?

      This:

      Software Version (SW): 0.78
      Firmware Version (FW): 21

I loaded default and saved to device several times and the problem persist.

        Hi again,

I received another unit from amazon and have the same problem. I discard a faulty unit

Could be a bug in the firmware? or a electric design problem?

If anyone more can test the mouse and post result it would be helpful.

        thanks in advance.

We can confirm that there's a similar issue on some of our test mice. We're going to report this to our peripherals team and see if this can be fixed through a patch or update.

In the meantime, please set the brightness to 66% to eliminate the flickering.

Also, would you mind letting us know which color you've set? We're trying to see if it's a color-specific issue.

          Thank you.

I tried all colours and all have this problem.

But I noticed the darker colors flicker less than the brigther.

I hope Gskill Team can fix this in the next update.

            Thanks.

Our peripherals team seems to be able to reduce the flickering in the software, so it's likely to be patched in a future update. Due to our current release schedule, if it's not in the next update, it should be in the one after that.

Thank you for being patient with us.
