AMD/Asus Config Question here!

Hello,

I expect delivery of the following today: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-1866C9D-16GXM.

To be installed on Asus M4A89GTD Pro/USB3 Mobo running a AMD PhenomII X4 955 Black Edition @3.6GHZ

I have updated the BIOS to latest Version 3029 dated 7/27/12

OS is Windows 7 pro 64bit

Can you provide detailed setup and BIOS information?

but to be honest, don't think the 955 will be able to run the 1866, it might, but normally I recommend at least a 965 rev c just to run 1600.....steps for 1600 can be found here:

Successfully running @ 1600 speed . I'd like to push to 1866 or tighten my timings @ 1600. I'd like to post captures of my CPUId screen on the reply. Can You advise how?

If running Win7, go to START, All Programs, Accessories, Snipping Tool and double Click on it, then pull the frame around you CPU-Z screen and save it,, will save to a .jpg can then post it to a free image hosting site and put the link to it in your post
