  • Xmp 2.0

Hi I have 16GB of F4-3200C16D and I when I go into the BIOS of my motherboard (EVGA Z270 Classified K) I can only select xmp 1.0. I am using the latest BIOS for the board. I bought this kit for the xmp 2.0. Has anybody got any ideas on this
    Cheers

That is probably just a really awkward numbering scheme instead of a hint at the actual XMP standard. The board probably shows XMP 1 and XMP 2 when two profiles are available. Since your kit only has one profile you can only select XMP 1(.0).

To my knowledge there never was a XMP 1.x standard for DDR4. The last DDR3 standard already was XMP 1.3 if i remember correctly.

Software like CPU-Z (SPD tab), Aida64 (Motherboard > SPD) should also confirm that it actually is XMP 2.0. Maybe contact EVGA about it, if it still bothers you.

So I don't know if the RAM is faulty or not

Looks like CPU-Z gets blocked by a Windows securty feature or some other software. Did you try to manually unblock the download in file properties?

This is how it should look like (from a different kit):
