I have been desperately trying to get this RAM to clock at over 1333mhz to no avail. I have 2 16gb kits (2X8gb) and no matter what I put the settings to I can't get the RAM even to 1600mhz. I have tried using the guides on this site and that has not worked either. Can any one help me?

What sets of Snipers do you have? There's a 1600 set and a couple of 1866 sets. And for background these CPUs are rated at UP TO 1866 WITH 1 DIMM PER CHANNEL (and that was done w/ 4GB sticks, I've seen the 8350 run 2x8GB of 1866, but have yet to see one run 32GB of 1866 and very few get to 1600 with 32GB. Also, any time you mix sets (even of the same exact model) it can be problematic, even on Intel CPUs which have a much stronger MC (Memory Controller). Another thing with two sets XMP and often DOCP won't work if it depends on info from the DRAMs SPD as that info is programmed for the set, in this case 2 sticks, the advanced timings can vary greatly when trying to run four sticks...To try, will want the latest BIOS and be ready to possibly have to run a healthy CPU/NB and DRAM voltage as well as probably have to do the tiimings base and advanced manually

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

whoops, thought I had remembered to put that piece of info in. They are 1866 sticks, honestly at this point I would be happy even getting them to run at 1600. I appreciate the fast response.

Just to clarify, when you say you cannot get the RAM to clock faster than 1333, do you mean you fail to boot or there is a lack of stability??

        Are you running 1333 stably?

I fail to boot at anything faster than 1333. However I am perfectly stable at 1333

is this a new build? Reset the BIOS and start fresh. Put in 1600 @ 9-10-9-28 (if you have http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=566) or 10-11-11-30 (if you have these http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=546) increase CPU/NB by +0.1V and set DRAM to 1.5V. See if it will boot with those settings.

Also double check the exact RAM you have...make sure you have two sets of the same speed (CL9 or CL10) because you may have one set of each and trying to run them with too tight timings. Once we can get you to boot @1600 we will be able start the process of tightening the timings a bit.

Let us know how you go

Those settings seemed to have worked, the RAM is now clocking at 1600. I have two sets of the CL10 RAM.

Great to hear that....just run it for stability (maybe test using Prime95 for a few hours) and if you want maybe tighten up the timings to 9-9-9-28 and see how you go.....
