well lets hope it does, not real promising since that is pretty vanilla memory, but stranger things have happened. Let us know if it doesn't get you up and running. good news is you do have some memory to fall back to if it fails.

BIOS updated to v.1501. The board had 1401 in it. Re-installed the G.Skill sticks. It booted up just fine. Well, we'll see how long it lasts.

This morning, on the first boot up, it froze right when the the kernel began to load. (I run Manjaro Linux.) On the second boot up attempt, it came all the way up with no problems. So, I upgraded from kernel 3.8 to 3.10. Oh well, I'll give it a try.

Had another crash this morning, just as the system was booting. I've had it with this memory. I removed it and reinstalled the old stick. I'll have to get something else. All I wanted was more memory. I'm not a speed demon, I just want stability, that's all.

I honestly don't know what the issue is my best guess is to RMA the kit and see if another one works better, That is not a speed demon kit, it should be solid.

You can also exchange for a 10666 model to see if it works better.

                Thank you

Can I do that through an RMA?

Yes, complete the RMA request form online, then contact the RMA dept. with your RMA number to let them know you want to exchange for a 10666 kit.

Got my replacement memory today. Installed it and reset all voltages back to original, except for NB, that was set to 1.15v. 1.15v was the setting where the voltage readout numbers changed from yellow to black. So, I figured that was a safe setting. If I have problems, the first thing I'll do is raise that back up to 1.25v. It's only been running about 15 minutes, so far so good. I'll report back if I have another crash.

Thank you! G.Skill for wonderful customer service, both here on the forum and the RMA department. Excellent service!
