    Hello,

    I have F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL (x2 so 8 gb) in an ASUS M4A79T Deluxe mobo (cpu= AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor HDZ965FBGMBOX).

The four sticks ran fine for about a month and then one day the pc crashed and BSOD's ensued non-stop.

I figured a workaround out by using only 1 of the 2gb sticks and this runs stable, however I purchased 4 sticks and wish to use them all.

Can you please provide the proper BIOS settings for my memory+mobo combo? Or will the above listed BIOS settings also work just fine?

    Thanks in advance,
    DGon

      you may have bad RAM

Well my PC just started doing the same thing. I should have subjected my RAM to more rigorous testing to start with as now I'm getting errors. Sure enough, PRIME 95 fails on stock settings. You may want to do a 24 hour memtest and see what happens. If you get errors, begin the RMA process like me.

These should be the settings for full slots:

        AI Overclock Tuner - Manual
        DRAM Frequency - 1333
CPU Host Frequency - 240 (this will OC memory to DDR3-1600)

        DRAM Controller Configuration (submenu)
        DCT Unganged Mode - Enabled
        Power Down Enable - Disabled

        DRAM Timing/Driving Config. (submenu)
        tCL - 9
        tRCD - 9
        tRP - 9
        tRAS - 24

        Rest can be AUTO

        DRAM Voltage - 1.6V
CPU-NB Voltage - 1.2V, try a little more if unstable

        Thank you

I made these changes and all four sticks will not boot. I am now using 2 of my 4 sticks semi-stable (I had to move my NB Voltage from 1.2 to 1.22 and now 1.24). It still crashed again last night under these settings though. Any suggestions?

          Is it RMA time?

My mistake, CPU-NB Voltage, not NB Voltage.

It's possible that the two kits are not fully compatible. For this reason, it is best to purchase a kit with four modules, if you are trying to fill all slots.

As a fail proof test, you can try DDR3-1333 8-8-8-24 1.50V and see if that works.

                    F3-1366CL9D I4x4GB) and M4A79XTD

Thought I was going crazy. After months of (almost) trouble-free use), first symptom was random BSOD. Read ASUS threads and swapped graphics (128 bit Radeon for 256 bit NVIDIA) cards and verified latest BIOS ver. Added 2 additional case fans. No benefit.

Next, wouldn't POST until multiple RESETS. Tolerated crashes till system wouldn't stay up for more than 1 min. Was about to scrap MB, till I found out I'm not the only one with these probs.

Not trying to overclock - all BIOS settings are default. Just want stable system.

                    4 sticks memory

Would appreciate any suggestions for stability. Thanks.

Test one module at a time to see if one may be bad causing problems.

                      Thank you

I'm not sure if this will matter to the testing but I recently found out that Memtest86 v4.0a (booting from cd) gives errors everytime and Memtest86+ v4.2 (booting from usb) says its all good. My MB is a M4A785T-M and I have not had an issue in the 2 years I had my first kit. With your MB being a step up in chipset you may have the same issue I have had so try both programs to check for bad chips. Please post back with your results to see if maybe mine is isolated or maybe Memtest86 v4.0a just may not be compatiable with newer AMD chips.
