  • Thermal sensors

    Hi to all.
I bought a couple of Trident Z RGB 16 GB and all woks fine (except rgb control software, we know yet).

But using mi Corsair software link I can't see the rams' temperatures.

Do Trident Z have thermal sensors?

    Thanks a lot!

What software do you use to see or monitor temperatures?

                Check out SIV

Yes the DIMMs have temp sensors. For monitoring, check out SIV. It is, by far, the most comprehensive system monitoring tool out there. It can be a bit overwhelming at first, but if you follow the guide, you can do some very cool things. READ THE GUIDE. Below is a link to the author's site, and a screen shot of the custom panels I set up using SIV. As you can see, my 4 G.Sklll Trident Z Dimm temps are all reported in the 3rd panel to the right (near the bottom). 2 temps are in Green and 2 are in Blue because I can setup the panel value to change color based on value. The values are Blue if below 40C, Green if between 40C and 50C and Red if over 50C.

SIV can control Corsair Link enabled devices too, and much better than Corsair's buggy Link program. He can also control Corsair RGB LED. He predicted that G.Skill was going to have major problems using Asus Aura as their RGB LED control method as Asus does not use the proper SMB Bus access interlocks. He was dead nuts correct. I asked if he would add G.Skill RGB LED control to SIV but to date he has held back as he does not want to get into the fray.

The author of SIV often helps out the guys who wrote AIDA64, HWInfo, CPUZ, etc when new platforms come out. He is usually the first to figure them out and add support. SIV already supports Ryzen, Thread Ripper, and X299.

Unbeliavable. I've tried both SIV and AIDA64, Both say no thermal sensor.

Mine is F4-3333C16Q-32GTZB which is NOT RGB. It is Samsung E-Die (which I discovered with Thaiphoon Burner. I wish it was B-Die and I wish there was a way to know for sure before purchasing). My DIMMs report temperature.

That is handy - thanks! If I am searching correctly, my DIMMs do not appear to be listed. I am not surprised as I think I am the only person that has ever purchased F4-3333C16Q-32GTZB.
