  • RipjawsX G.SKILL F3-2133C10D-8GXM and Asrock z97 EXTREME3

    Greetings to whoever is viewing.

I have ordered from an online retailer a kit of RipjawsX G.SKILL F3-2133C10D-8GXM (2x4GB DIMMS) that I thought was compatible with the Asrock z97 Extreme3 mobo.
I used the g.skill site RAM Configurator.
The thing is that moments later I saw that the kit the RAM Configurator had suggested was the Ripjaws X F3-2133C10D-16GXM kit (2x8GB DIMMS) and not the one I ordered (need to check myself for dyslexia).
Do you think RipjawsX G.SKILL F3-2133C10D-8GXM will work with the mobo or should I change the order?

    Any input would be appreciated...

    It should work just fine.

G.SKILLs own QVL also lists quite some ASRock Z97 models (Extreme4, Extreme6, Pro4). Of course they can not test every board out there, but that doesn't mean it wont work on unlisted models.

Thanks for the response. Doing a little search around the site I found the following kit

G.SKILL F3-2400C11D-8GXM which is QVLed 100% for Asrock z97 EXTREME3, it's has faster frequency than the F3-2133C10D-8GXM but slower timings 11 v 10. Which is the best in your opinion?
