bad memory?

Hi im. having problems with the following hardware after installing 2x 2G modules. Windows and memtest86 report problems


mb is a zotac ionix a-c
memory is F2-6400CL5D-4GBNT (2Gx2)
os is win8

set the cas latency in the bios but no luck. Memory voltage can be changed to 2.0 or 2.1...
should I try it or is it risky?
old 2x 1G modules we're good. bios is latest.

Try it at 2.1....not really familiar with the mobo/CPU combo - may need to OC (if possible) to run 4GB of 800,

One thing I did was perform the Windows memory test with one module at a time and Ive noticed it has no errors with one module and the other runs errors.

Does this mean I have a bad stick? Should I RMA..

or should I try the 2.0 or 2.1 voltage change first?

I'd go ahead and try the additional voltage and see how it goes

no luck with the voltage at 2.0 or 2.1...

May have gotten a bad stick, might RMA/exchange through your re/e-tailer else RMA through GSkill to get a good set
