    Hi guys!

My friend bought his PC online
and i'm helping him putting the parts together!

    Here the parts he bought:
    -----------------------------
    case: LIAN LI PC-V352
    cpu: AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2GHz
    motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P
    gpu: EVGA GeForce 210
    psu: Antec NEO ECO 520W
hdd: Laptop drive from his old PC
    ram: F3-8500CL7D-2GBNQ

    OK, long story short,
we are experiencing BSOD's at boot times
and when we actually get into windows,
the mouse can't move and overall,
Windows7x64 seems to just freeze'up on us...

    However, strange part is,
the PC ends up working ok after a couple of bad boots so to speak,,,
its like is if it gets warm and only then, it starts to work correctly,,
    doesnt make sense to me,,,

Now each morning, i try to boot it as usual,
and since its cold booting, again, i get BSDO's..
and yes, thats only till i try a couple of times and then
system gets warmer and finally it boots up fine,,,
so i can enjoy the PC for the rest of the day,,,

I tried memtest on the ram and they came up with 3000+ errors!!
But strange part is, i tried another memtest tonight,
and got ZERO errors this time O.O ??

I havent O/C the RAM nothing,,,
only thing i've changed in the BiOS is the RAM timing,,
by default bios detects ram timing as --> 7-7-7-21
where the specs of my RAM is --> 7-7-7-18
so thats the only thing i changed in the BIOS,,
    nothing else,,

now, could it be a RAM voltage problem somehow?
in the BIOS, RAM voltage is --> 1.472V
which to me looks normal as the RAM is 1.5V ....
like i said, all of these settings are on AUTO,,
i haven't played with them at all,,,

SO, should i crank the RAM Voltage up a noch (1.584v)
and see if tomorrow morning it gives me any trouble??

And if not, then, what can i do overall?
    im lost :/

What i should mention too is that at first,
he bought a BIOSTAR TA790GXB3 motherboard,,,
then BSOD's issues were occurring and we simply thought that the Biostar was the culprit here,,,,
So he bought a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P motherboard to replace the Biostar....
However, as we know by now, same stuff happens with his new motherboard,,,,

    Another important note is that,
he also RMA'ed to G.SkiLL one of the two RAM sticks he received,,,,
MemTest was good for the first stick but not the second,,,
    second stick was bad,,,
so like i said, bad stick was RMA'ed and G.SKiLL send him a 'refurb' in exchange,,
however, refurb stick passed the MemTest successfully!

So, I hope its not the RAM because i really like G.SkiLL
and don't want to stir away from the brand because of this...
i've read many bad reviews on newegg.com about G.SKiLL RAM
    mainly because of BSOD issues,,,
    unfortunately

    thanks guys!!

Test one module at a time to see if one may be bad causing problems. We do not send refurb modules, so I'm not sure how that idea came about. Unfortunately with DRAM memory, defects can randomly happen.

OK well, Looks like we'll stir away from the G.SKiLL brand from now on,,,

        Unfortunately, when google'ing my issue,

i saw many many G.SkiLL users with different motherboards
that have BSOD issues so, G.SKiLL RAM is to avoid at all costs now,,

Ok, bought new sticks from KingSton,,, should arrive soon,,,

G.SKiLL RAM thrown out of the window,,,,

thanks for the support tho, at least, thats something positive to build on,,,

        peace out guys!!

BSOD issues happen for any brand, even more when you have experienced users trying to use performance memory.

          Thank you
