you guys stand behind your product in every way, and the speed of a response to a concern here on the forums is like no other.

keep it up, and thanks for the super fast/stable RAM you guys offer!

Just wanted to send my Kudos for a job well done! The RMA process was absolutely painless and the new set of RAM appears to be working fine (knocking on wood). Thanks Again!

        Thank You

Well, the problem is finally solved. It took two RMAs, but the third set of RAM is working to spec. GSkill Tech stuck with me when other vendors might not have been so eager, given we had RMA'ed once already.

Thanks for running the board - it was the only comprehensible (I'm not an overclocker and didn't understand some of the terminology used on many other sites) place for information that actually helped me. And it shows that GSkill stands behind its products, no matter what.

          G.SkILL, there is none better!!!!!

I never have had such great Customer Service and Tech Support in my entire life.
I ask from medium-some what difficult questions that I have no way of figuring esp.
with part configurations! I swear last week I sent in a question and literally they
emailed with-in the minute w/ the answer to my hard question. I thought it was one of
those auto-replys but it was an actual response to my needs!!
I swear even if(IF) g.skills' memory wasn't that good, I would get it just for their CS and tech support, like I said IF. Honestly they are the single best memory supplier in my unwritten book of cool companies.
Even just now in the forums they answered in like 1 minute!!!!!

          Thanks G.SKILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need an SSD firmware update tips and hints sticky

            Hi
I reckon you need to post an SSD firmware update tips and hints sticky. It's really not good enough to say do a search when there are some fundamentals buried around the place.

I have previously posted some hints at http://gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=4778 which are an example of the sort of content the sticky would contain.

I also agree with wattgn's post at http://gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=5435 where the suggestion is for some additional info on how to get to the update stage when the drive has been in use for a while and the preference is not for a complete reinstall and reconfigure.

That is, G.Skills needs to explain to those of us who are less than expert how to best clone/backup the ssd prior to updating the firmware and then how to restore the contents in the optimum way (alignment etc). This should cover various combinations of hardware availability. Your competitors (Intel, WD etc) seem to be able to provide much better instructions and even freeware to help with this.

Surely a sticky is not asking too much.

            Regards

I have to say while support on the forums was good, my RMA experience was bad. Responses were slow. I was supposed to be informed when my RMAed RAM arrived. I wasnt, but when I RMAed products at Corsair and MSI, they both notified me when the product arrived at there facilities, and again they emailed me to let me know the items ship. Again G.Skill did not. There was 2 separate RMA experiences and both times I experienced a complete lack of communication from G.Skill. Hate to say it as I have had over all good experience with G.Skill but based on the customer service, or lack there of, I received, I have personally decided not to invest in G.Skill products again. I like to inform potential buyers of the lack of customer service as well when I see there products recommended in the advice phase of a new build.

Now if it was one experience, I would brush it off but when I need to RMA 2 sets of RAM in 2 months and customer service is lacking both times, then I start to see a trend forming.

                Xplorer4x4,

Sorry to hear you had such experience. What email address did you email to? How long did it take for a response? As far as email notification, our RMA processing time generally takes 1-2 days, so we will do what it takes to get them back to you ASAP. Rest assured that your RMA is being processed immediately, and if there is any issue, we will contact you. Simply expect your replacement shortly.

If our RMA process took two weeks or more, then of course we have plenty of time to email you and keep you posted, but we think you would rather have your products back before you know it.

                Thank you
                GSKILL TECH

                  Poor service

I live in Canada have to Rma to the states, after over week with no responce on forum. I find out they do not stock my memory in the states and it has to be shipped to the states from Taiwan, then snail mailed to me in Canada. I will not be purchasing or recommending G.skill to anyone

We apologize for the delay. If you do not receive a response on the forum, please email us directly. Shipping from Taiwan to US is overnight, so it does not take long. Shipping from US to Canada is what will take longer due to customs.

                    Thank you

Ok... so maybe there is not enough voltage somewhere? Or you did not set the FSB correctly? I am helping you in your own thread so maybe you should respond there?

                        Thank you

Thank you G.Skill for coming up with such great products and having a support forum as well, with great active members here. And last but not least,

                          Thank you wevsspot!!

                            Gskill Support

First of all your poll goes from doing well, to didn't respond, there should be somenthing in
                            between.

When you sell something like a SSD high performace drive you should provide a some
installation tips on how to get that high performace. You cannot in most cases just install
the drive and expect it to provide your posted performace, because it wll not!

I don't like the idea of going for help and being turned to fourm that 1. you must learn
how to navigate. 2. I have to speed days hoping that I will stumble over someone with
                            a similar issue.

I do not feel warm and fuzzy about the so called support that Gskill provices, like I do
with sites like WD w/multitudes of downloads and tell you how to use them.

Gskill needs to get the issue with Sandfource and health readings in programs like HD Tune resolved so that folks can believe what they see or make your own program for folks to run to check the health and performace of their drives.

Gskill should build a toolbox like some of the other mfgs have to keep their drives at
                            max performace.

Anyone buying a SSD drive is going to expect it to performs like it is supposed to, and we
are going to want to verify it. Gskill needs to provide us with the tools to do that.

i wanted to say im very impressed with your tech support and the advice you provide for your products. The ram i got for my pc was the first gskill product i bought and got it off newegg and have seen alot of reviews about the ram and one thing i seen alot of was response's from gskill tech support and you can be sure ill be buying more ram made by your company. I can appreciate a company that stands behind its product and with a speedy reply. Give credit to your tech support agents as well cause after all they are the ones that do the work for you to keep your customers happy and coming back, which I will be.

Thanks alot gskill and Tech support keep up the good work.
