  • Have G.Skill SSDs' improved in the last 6 months

I have custom ordered a system with a G.SKILL SSD 64GB MLC and will install Win Vista Ultimate 64 on it along with Office, Photoshop etc. The tech mentioned some initial issues with "stuttering" in most brands of SSD s' and that those issues have been resolved in the current run of SSDs'.
Would this be a result of the drive changing in some way over the last 6 months or more of a better understanding of SSTs' limitations/setup?
Would you advise setting up a dual boot on a secondary hdd in anticipation of write/read time dissapointments or program compatibility issues?

    Thanks

MLC SSD stuttering problem is still there but it gets improves.
if you have vista you can enable the write cache for SSD and gets better performance.
the point to have SSD is to get faster starting OS. if use other HDD as boot up disk, kinda lost the original purpose of SSD
