  • Poblem with the new Software and Firmware

Every time I open the Software the modes get kinda "mixed" or "re-writed" and there is no option to get the default ones so I have to delete them 1 by 1.
If I create a new profile it gets even worse. Is there any way to delete the internal memory of the keyboard to get everything by default again? It's really a mess and if I create new modes or profiles then after I reopen the SW everything gets mixed again.
Seems like an error of coding, when the SW tries to replace the default modes with the stored in the internal memory. Idk if you are planing on realease updates soon but the profiles are pretty much useless like this.

Sorry for my bad english, not native speaker. I hope you can get the point!

SW opened for the first time.

After closing and reopen the SW.

    Thanks.

    Hi napsterk89,

Can you let us know your firmware version and your Windows version?

In the meantime, can you go into the software setting (wrench icon on top right corner), and click the "Reset all Current Settings"? This should clear out the onboard memory, in case old data on the onboard memory is causing conflicts with the new software.

    Thanks.

      Hi, sure:

      Firmware Version: 74
      Software: Version: 2.0

I'm using the last Windows 10 Version.

I've tried that but didn't work. Seems like that the option "Reset all Current Settings" is doing nothing. Instead I went to the GSkill installation folder (C:/Program Files/G.Skill/G.SKILL RIPJAWS KM780 RGB/KM780RGB_Reset) and executed the "KB_HW_Reset.exe" and that did the job and deleted the onboard memory. (I asume this is the file that is suposed to be executed with "Reset all Current Settings")
The problem seems to appear whenever you create/edit profiles or modes. If don't create/change the names all works fine, I can close and re-open the SW without the mentioned problem.

        Hi napsterk89,

Our dev team has replicated your issue, and is working on a fix right now. It is confirmed to be a coding issue. The update will then be validated and uploaded as soon as it is ready. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and we appreciate your feedback.

        Thank you.

With this firmware (v74) and software (v2.00) I noticed that when I choose the background lighting to be pure white (RGB 255 255 255) the color is pinkish white, I verified that it happened when the firmware was updated. I did a downgrade to v60 and took pictures with the same background color in the application.

            White Background with FW v60:

Oh wow. Yeah, we'll inform the dev team to get that fixed.

In the meantime, you can tune down the red values manually in the color settings as a workaround. Thanks for the images.

I see that problem with other colours.

For example, I set the color to green, but instead of that I see it yellow. Or I set it purple, and I see it on pink.

I think there is a problem with the RGB system.

I cant upload images if you want.

I have KM780 RGB spanish layout with cherry brown. Fw 76, Software 2.03.

                  Hi Rafa,

Can you let us know which RGB values you set for green and purple? We'll pass this to our keyboard dev team and see if there's any bugs we missed.

If you have any pictures or images, please send it over to techsupport@gskill.com. Thank you!

                      Hi Rafa,

We received your images. We'll continue to tweak the RGB lighting balance for improvement. Please do understand even different monitors may show a different shade of color for the same RGB value, and there's a limit of what we can achieve through tweaking.

In the meantime, since the RGB values are customizable, you can fine-tune for the color that you want on the keyboard. Please note that the on-screen preview may also not be able to perfectly reflect the brightness of the actual LED colors, since the actual LEDs on the keyboard may be brighter than the on-screen preview. Below are some common color mixes, and feel free to customize the color palette in the software for your needs.

Red + Green = Yellow (increase the red and lower the green for a deeper yellow or for orange)
                      Green + Blue = Cyan
Blue + Red = Magenta (max the blue and lower the red for a deeper purple)

Thank you again for your feedback, and we'll work with our dev team for further improvements.
