Hi, I installed 2x 8GB G.Skill Trident Z 16GB DDR4-3200 on my MSI Z170A G7 Gaming motherboard, enabled XMP and all has been good for the last 3-4 weeks. Today when I booted the PC it only showed 8GB memory.
After some investigation and trying one stick at a time, one of the sticks no longer reports XMP support to the bios, so for both sticks to work (16GB) I have to run the memory at 2133.
If I manually set the XMP values, one stick stops working and again the bios / Windows only sees one stick.
The memory sticks are in slots 2 and 4.
I assume a fault has developed with one of the sticks?
