  • 2x F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL + ASRock H67M + Intel i5 2400 3.1: Half RAM on each stick missi

ASRock H67M motherboard, 2.10 bios. (2 x DIMM slots). BIOS defaults loaded.
    2 x RipjawX F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL installed.
Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit.
Maximum memory not set in msconfig.

I'm having trouble with my memory. I bought it 2011. About a year ago I noticed that my system is only showing 8GB of RAM - both in Windows and bios - while I have 2x8GB installed. I've only just gotten around to investigating the problem. Here's what I've tried:
Reseating the RAM several times, individually and as a pair (when only one is in 4GB shows).
Ran memtest86 - no problems found, but only 8 GB showing.
Ran CPU-Z, and it shows a 4GB stick in each slot, and reports the 4GB model as well!

I've run out of ideas. Is it possible they were 4GB sticks all along, just mislabelled?
    Any suggestions welcome.

Each stick is 4GB. It is a dual channel kit with two modules that add up to 8GB, so 4GB each. Sounds like it is detected and working just fine.

    Thank you
