There are many factors that affect Mac speed,If it is really the garbage data that affects it, you need to completely delete these garbage files.
Trying using some professional erasing tools, there should be a lot of these tools on Google.
This is the software i often use: https://www.tunesbro.com/delete-dupl...hotos-mac.html

You can try the disk optimization applications like CC cleaner or boost CD to check your SSD. Also, I suggest you test your SSD with the Burnout application(but I'm not sure if they got a version for Mac). If you have been streaming a lot lately, I recommend you to check the temp files folder. Usually, if you do not use professional streaming software, a problem like yours will appear. If you plan to stream or record your screen in the future, I suggest you use this application https://www.movavi.com/support/how-t...en-on-mac.html. In my opinion, it is one of the best services for streaming your screen without a paid subscription.
