  • F4-2400C15Q-16GVR and MSI A320M Pro M2 V2 Issue

I have 4 of these boards paired with Ryzen 3 2200G CPUs. I can not get these to POST at all with this RAM. They power on and the RAM diagnostic LED on the board just stays lit. This RAM is listed on the MSI site as compatible. Latest v31 BIOS is loaded. I built two of these last month using F4-2400C17D-16GVR and had no issues and that model RAM is not listed on the MSI site. I tried each stick in either slot, reset CMOS, got nothing. I am at a loss.

Not one motherboard can boot with a module?

Correct, all four systems would not POST with that RAM installed. I just received RAM from another brand, DDR4 2666 w/15-17-17-35 timing, also on the MSI approved list and tried it out, got POST, no issues. Did Gskill maybe make a change to this model of RAM, like a different chip supplier maybe? It has a manufacture date of March 2019. Or a bad batch? At this point I am just sending it back to where I bought it.

This model is not tested for AMD CPUs so it is possible different chips have changed compatibility.

Fortis series for Flare X may be a better fit for that system.
