  • G-Skill F4-3200C16-8GTZR Underperforming? Causing micro stutter in gaming?

I've been having this issue with gaming since I've put together my build, and I've tried narrowing down the problem. I suspect my RAM is underperforming which could be the cause of the micro stutter I'm experiencing in several games.

    Here is my dxdiag:

    My Specs:
    Windows 10
    PRIME x299-A motherboard
    Intel i7-7800X CPU @ 3.50GHz
    G. SKILL Trident Z RGB 16GB DDR4 3200 MHz
    Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080
    Samsung 860 EVO SSD 500GB

This is the benchmark which is notifying me that my RAM is underperforming:

And this is a thread on reddit filled with information and tests in the comments I ran to try and address the issue:

    I've tried:
    different slot configurations
    resetting oc profile
    double checking timers
    resetting cmos

nothing has produced a positive benchmark for me concerning the RAM, and the micro stutter persists. I have just recently ordered a quad channel kit of 32GB which should be arriving in the next few days to test if the dual channel kit I have is bad, but I'm wondering if there could be any assistance here regarding this matter. Thank you.

ok, so I've received the 32GB Quad core kit and I've installed it, my tests are running a bit better but for some reason the Single Core tests are under performing. Any idea what is going on and how I can fix this?

Which slots do you have the RAM installed in? Should be the gray slots.

Do you have the latest BIOS for the motherboard?

RAM should be great for that system
