  • Ripjaws V fails memtest 86

Found my computer locked up the other morning and tried to reboot. I finally got it to run memtest and found numerous errors. I started checking the 2 stick individually and found 1 stick would pass even after running all night (10 passes I believe) but 1 stick had numerous errors start showing up on the third pass. Currently running with the 1 good stick. I checked the RMA page and can't find my main board.

    Build Specs:
    Main board: Gigabyte B250M - Gaming 3
    Processor: Intel Pentium G4600
    Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400
Power Supply: CORSAIR CX-M Series CX550M 550W 80 PLUS BRONZE

The serial number on the bad stick is: 1722B6001577043

    Any suggestions welcome.

    Additional info

I'm also not running the memory at 2400. When I had the profile set at XMP to run at 2400 the system became unstable so I backed off.

Send them in for RMA exchange and a new kit should work better:
