  • Even more from F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL?

Hi there, enjoy the forum, have been reading up for a while. Very interesting.

Had F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL put into my custom built computer. Memory is stable at 1650MHz with timings 9-9-9-24 1T with no voltage increases. Passed memtest86+ in BIOS mode (2 passes) and Prime95 (blends) for 1 hr (more testing tonight). Is it worth increasing the voltage (maybe to 1.6v) and seeing if I can lower timings? Would it be worth it? Question two: can you recommend a freeware program that can benchtest my memory. I may lower the clock speed above and tighten timings. Again, is this worth doing before I waste my time fiddling further? Many thanks in advance. Specs below:

    Mem: F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL
    Mobo: GA P55 US3L
    CPU: i5 750 OC to 3.46GHz
    OS: Win 7 64 bit.

PS: Well chuffed with your memory. Cheers! Will recommend.

Doesn't really hurt to try. Whether it's worth it, that's up to you, but if you download Everest Ultimate, that will tell you how much of a difference your settings are and you can decide then. On a P55 platform, it's pretty simple, so it won't cause too much headaches anyway.

    Thank you
