  • Cannot run 2x2GB F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ at 1600Mhz in a GA-770TA-UD3 mobo

    Hi there,

I've been doing some OC'ing with the help of some forum members over at the AMD processor forums, and am having a great deal of difficulty getting my RAM to run at its rated 1600Mhz speed.

    Setup:
    PSU: Corsair CMPSU-400CX 400W,
    Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-770TA-UD3,
Proc: AMD Ph II X2 555 BE (Unlocked to X4, had OC @ 3.79),
    CPU HS: CM Hyper 212+,
    RAM: 4Gb G.Skill (2x2GB) DDR3 1600 (had @ 1333, for stable CPU OC),
    HDD: 1 TB Cav. blue,
    GPU: HIS 5770 (stock clocks)

I've checked in BIOS to make sure all timings are stock, upped RAM voltage incrementally from 1.4 all the way to 1.7, and lowered CPU to stock clock with a very small FSB increase (204 - 207), and still Prime95 fails on Test 1 for one or two cpu cores.

Any ideas? Feel free to request additional information.

    Thanks in advance,

    Cameron

    NB Frequency x11 2200MHz
    CPU-NB Voltage +0.1V

If this does not work, try without the unlocked cores.

    Thank you

Well, RAM is now running smoothly at 1600, though I've had to reset CPU to stock.

I'll work on adjusting OC now.

      Thanks for the help!
